The Friends of the Library is an organization of volunteers whose goal is to support the library. Membership is open to anyone. The friends of the library are always looking for new members. They always are looking for new ideas and viewpoints. Volunteers are the backbone of the organization. The Friends hold business meetings in September, January, March and April and hold their annual social meeting in October. Their primary projects are the used book sale and memorial brick sale. General Meetings are open to anyone interested in helping the Friends support the library. Business meetings are held in the library's meeting room. Call Roberta Thomas at the library (847-223-5313) for details. In addition to our regular book sales, the Friends of the Library sells books continuously in the library's lobby. All books sold are donations from people in the area. Book donations can be dropped off at the friends storage room chute. If a receipt is needed, the staff at the circulation desk will happily accept and record your donations. Volunteers are always needed; if you can help please call 847-223-5313.
